Industrialization of extracting alumina from fly ash in China
Recently, the project of extracting alumina from 400000 tons of fly ash in Inner Mongolia was officially started. The project is the first production line for extracting alumina from fly ash in China, and it is also the first time that China's independent intellectual property "technology for extracting alumina from fly ash" has been industrialized, marking a new stage in the development of circular economy with high-tech comprehensive utilization of resources in Inner Mongolia.
It is reported that the project of extracting alumina from fly ash is a technical project with independent intellectual property rights of Mengxi high tech group after 7 years of research. In 2004, the project completed the industrialization test and passed the achievement appraisal organized by the science and Technology Department of the autonomous region, reaching the domestic advanced level. It was approved by the national development and Reform Commission in January2006. The project technology uses fly ash and limestone with alumina content greater than 40% to calcine, and uses alkali solution method to extract alumina. The whole production process has realized a circular industrial chain with zero emission, zero pollution and low cost. The total investment of the project is 1.6 billion yuan, which is jointly invested by Mengxi group and Ordos Cashmere Group. The main products are 400000 tons of alumina, Portland cement clinker and various varieties of alumina. It is estimated that the annual output value will be 1.28 billion yuan and the total profit and tax will be 567million yuan.
